New 50-state noncompete chart updated for latest developments

We just updated our 50-State Noncompete Chart again.

This iteration updates our last version for developments in Connecticut, Illinois, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, and also to add timing details to the notice requirements for D.C.

Our chart — which was the first of its kind (created in 2010) and is regularly updated — is now fully up to date through today (September 26, 2024).

We will continue to update the chart as additional significant developments arise across the country.

*A huge thank you to Erika Hahn for all of her extraordinary help in tracking and monitoring all of the bills around the country and helping me make sure that all of our resources are current and accurate. Thanks to Fisher Phillips’ Jonathan Crook for identifying a new Louisiana appellate court decision: Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. v. Annison, 2023 CA 0770 (La. App. Ct 2024).
