FTC appeals Texas court’s setting aside of noncompete rule in Ryan

It didn’t take a crystal ball to predict that the FTC would appeal the summary judgement decision setting aside the FTC’s noncompete rule in Ryan, LLC v. FTC.

And, yesterday, Friday, October 18, 2024, the FTC did just that: It filed its Notice of Appeal of the decision.

So, with the ATS case out of play, the FTC is fighting a complete uphill battle, trying to overturn both the preliminary injunction in the Properties of the Villages case in Florida and the final deciding in Ryan in Texas.

It’s not looking good for the FTC’s noncompete rule.
